First Velodrome Session + Piss On It Alleycat

Erica, Nicholas, and myself drove up to Major Taylor Velodrome yesterday for our first laps around the track this season.

Much fun was had.

Fortunately, Jeremy Albert snapped some nice looking photos of the occasion (including the one seen above), cause my camera stayed in my bag the whole time.

Thanks to Chris at IndyCog for directing me to Jeremy's Flickr, and for the reminder that Dano's Piss On It Alleycat is this Friday in Indy.

I hope to make it up there for this, riding in Indy is always a good time. Not too sure if anyone else can/will go with me...

Cracked Frame + A New Edit

Sunny Sunday Afternoon from Jason Smith on Vimeo.

I got the new fork put on, and I guess I got a little carried away.
Now no tricks until Milwaukee gets my frame built and shipped.

Cracked Fork

Last Friday night, I started trying bunnyhop 180's again. I had been trying to take it easy on the potentially fork-flexing tricks ever since I found another Little 5 fork, as I bent 2 Little 5 forks & a cheap mountain bike fork in the span of 40some days earlier this year.
On Friday, I dented my rear deep-v pretty thoroughly.
Today, I cracked my fork.
Fortunately, my good buddy Jesse has been kind enough to lend/sell me a Surly Karate Monkey fork to tide me over until the MKE Bruiser shows up on my porch.
The crack runs the legth of the weld on the underside of the left blade.

I'm SO HYPED to see what everyone has come up with for this installment.
You've got to hand it to Burd and the rest of Ride/Relax Productions for such prolific output.
